Fingerprint Cards’ touch sensor FPC1025 featured in Samsung’s new Notebook 9 PC line

The new Samsung Notebook 9 PC line includes an added layer of security in the form of a built-in FPC1025 sensor from Fingerprint Cards, enabling secure sign in with a single touch.

Samsung’s new Notebook 9 line of 13.3-inch and 15-inch PCs with Windows 10 is equipped with Fingerprint Cards’ FPC1025 sensor and software with support for Microsoft’s biometric security system Windows Hello. The FPC1025 3D pixel sensor is located on the keyboard, allowing users to log in to the notebook using fingerprint authentication instead of typing a password.

“Our partnership with Samsung regarding the new Notebook 9 PC line is proof that our FPC1025 sensor offers secure and convenient user verification without compromising on design aesthetics. The partnership also shows our ability to expand into new segments. We are naturally very proud of this and consider this partnership in the PC segment to be an important milestone for Fingerprint Cards,” comments Christian Fredrikson, CEO of Fingerprint Cards.
