Fingerprints announced that its solutions have been integrated into more than 600 mobile device models. Having celebrated 400 integrations in late 2019 and 500 in early 2021, this achievement and rate of growth reflect the momentum of mobile biometrics and the increasing demand for the convenience and security features that the technology provides.
In the PC segment, our solutions are now integrated into the top/major PC and Chromebook OEMs such as Lenovo and Dell.
Our solutions are now integrated into a broad range of access control devices such as IP door stations. And use cases beyond door locks now include locks in drawers, cabinets and wardrobes, USB tokens and access cards for physical and logical access. We also signed a multi-year contract for a touchless solution with Mantra Softech India.
In 2021 our biometric payment journey progressed from pilots to commercial launches. Collaborations with payment industry stakeholders continued, including Infineon and Fime to lower market barriers and proactively achieve certifications, paving the way for more to come...
Launched the next-gen T-Shape® sensor and software platform for biometric payment cards. Combining extensive R&D and experience from launces and pilots, the solution provides increased image quality and transaction speed as well as improved power efficiency. Fingerprints also launched a new biometric solution for the consumer and enterprise PC market, which is tailored for devices such as notebooks, 2-in-1 convertibles, and PC accessories.
The historical milestone of one billion sensors shipped was reached in May 2019.
Exceed 300 smartphone models integrating our technology. We also launch our 3rd and 4th generation sensor solution, the single chip with products like FPC1511. The biometric payment card market begins to take off, with trials from banks and schemes around the world, using our fingerprint technology. We introduce biometric solutions for the automotive industry. A partnership agreement with Gentex brings touchless technology to rearview mirrors and the first automotive graded touch sensor version is launched.
Introduced new software features that add extraordinary value for end users.
Fingerprint touch sensors are now commonly used to unlock smartphones and to make payments with smartphones. The launches of a new touch sensor for the entry-level mobile segment, and our own leading algorithm, enable mass adoption and greater innovation across the smartphone segment. With great effort from our R&D department, we launch the new FPC1300-series, with ultra-thin sensors fit for smartcards.
